The world is full of songs, stories, photographs, and human beings worth paying attention to. I've spent much of my life chasing all four. What you'll find here isn't a portfolio as much as a collection of moments—some beautiful, some funny, some profound, and all of them part of the journey.

capturing moments wherever I go
update from THE CANADIAN
I’ve always loved trains. Since I was a kid. Had a train set down in the basement, had a hat that my dad scored me from an engineer. I have stopped countless times watched them rattling past, waited for them to clear the way…hundreds of cars…Ive written them in many songs, filmed them, shot photos of them, boarded them from Ottawa to Toronto a bunch…but travelling on one for 5 days? Nope…never done that before. I’m in…The Artist on Board program by VIA RAIL felt like a perfect fit. Travelling across this beautiful county playing original songs written in and about the land, the nature and its people. And boy were there people on the train. Of all different walks…I learned something from every conversation I had. As the outside world raced by, I felt a stillness that I had never felt before. I sang songs in 3 different places on the train. There were 22 cars…And…I happily stood for all 12 shows over the 5 days. The train moves, and so did I as I surfed the tracks and played songs I have dear relationships with. I have countless thoughts from this last journey and am currently writing and collecting pictures and videos from such an epic adventure.
Welcome,
This page will be filled with windows and doors. Stories to read, things to see, songs to hear, pictures to look at, some information on the how’s, why’s, where’s, what’s and when’s of the world around us…At least a human perspective on the human perspective. And it will always change…because the scenery of my mind is on the move…like a train…and the mountains of thought, rivers of ideas, and open fields ready to harvest are there..in the landscape of my heart.
I am a student of the human condition and all of its beautiful forms. Learning as we go and grow…have a look around the site…its kind of like the highways in Canada…always under construction…Working on it…but there’s is some fun stuff to find. If you want the direct line then the Booking/EPK page gives you a good gander.
If you have a question for North…Please…just send it. :) QUESTION FOR NORTH
